Core Financial Skills That Matter

We focus on the essentials that make a tangible difference in your daily financial decisions and long-term planning.

Budget Construction

Learn to build flexible spending plans that actually work with your lifestyle. We'll show you how to track expenses without feeling restricted and adjust as your circumstances change.

Debt Management Strategies

Understand different approaches to handling existing debt. You'll explore methods like avalanche and snowball techniques, then decide what suits your situation best.

Savings Architecture

Build systematic approaches to saving that go beyond simple "put aside what's left." We cover emergency funds, goal-based savings, and how to automate the process effectively.

Tax Fundamentals

Get comfortable with Australian tax structures, deductions, and planning strategies. We break down complex concepts into practical steps you can actually use.

Investment Basics

Start understanding how different investment vehicles work, from superannuation to shares and property. No get-rich-quick schemes—just honest explanations of options and risks.

Financial Goal Setting

Develop realistic timelines and strategies for major purchases, career transitions, or retirement planning. We help you break big goals into manageable steps.

Learning That Sticks

Our sessions use real case studies from Australian households. You'll work through actual scenarios—messy situations with competing priorities, unexpected expenses, and tough decisions.

This isn't about memorizing formulas. We want you to develop judgment and confidence so you can adapt what you learn to your specific circumstances.

  • Interactive workshops with immediate feedback from experienced instructors
  • Case analysis sessions using de-identified real situations
  • Practice exercises that mirror actual financial decisions
  • Small group discussions where you can ask specific questions
  • Take-home materials for continued practice and reference

Sessions run over 8-week blocks, with optional extension modules for those wanting deeper knowledge in specific areas.

Flexible Learning Options

We understand work schedules and family commitments vary. That's why we offer multiple session times throughout the week, with some weekend options available.

Can't make a live session? We provide detailed session notes and recorded summaries, though we've found in-person participation leads to better outcomes. The real value comes from asking questions specific to your situation and hearing how others approach similar challenges.

Our autumn 2025 intake begins in September, with a second program starting January 2026. We keep cohort sizes deliberately small—usually 12 to 15 participants—so everyone gets sufficient attention during practical exercises.
